I finally found the time to make some French-style macaroons. Here is my first attempt...
... and I am very happy with how they came out. I didn't have any light brown sugar (which was called for in the recipe),subbed dark-brown and you could tell since they are so delicately flavored. However, they tasted good that way too (just a little molassas-y). RWT really liked them a lot so future macaroon experimentation is not a problem (which it would have been if I had to eat all the tests myself!). Onward to other flavors!!!
